The Kiss.

December 2, 2008

Kristal didn’t know what to do. She knew him but was so confused by him. They had met at the candy store, and he had struck up the conversation.

How do you like campus? He had said. When she looked at him confused, he added, You look new.

When she realized he was talking to her, Kristal gladly talked with this friendly new face. As they walked he asked her where she was going.

To class. She had stated very matter-of-factly. Over there. She pointed to the foriegn looking building that she had class in next. She was suprised to see him smiling.

I’m headed that way too. Do you mind if I walk you to class?

Now here they were. Hanging out in Read the rest of this entry »

Healing.

July 23, 2011

If one person could break a heart, another one can heal it.

Those words meant everything to her, especially since he was quoting her own words back at her. When she had met him, he was consumed by his heartache, broken by the loss of a love. He’d been suffering in silence for over a year when she had met him, and in her few short months she had him smiling and his friends had noticed his change in attitude. They had told her that he was more like how he used to be, and it had made her happy to help.

They had become fast friends and she was falling for him fast.  But she was taken, and knew it could never happen. She had promised her love to someone else and she could never hurt him. She lived happy, but conflicted for a while.

Then her world was turned upside down. Her promise was meaningless now, since she was no longer loved. She was alone and broken. And then he found her, alone and damaged. Her heart had been broken, left in pieces by another, but he wanted to save her as she had saved him.

He took her in his arms, and she began to heal.

Thank you. I love you.

Heartbreak.

May 21, 2011

He said we’d be together forever.

He’d promised me the world, told me I had his heart always. He gave it to me along with his ring, promising to marry me and make me that happy forever.

We lived together, happy for a while. But then Life caught up with us.

His job kept him away from home, and my education kept me from household chores. I couldn’t find a job and his stress kept growing. Things were getting strained.

His father was pushing us farther apart, testing our bond. I thought we’d out last him, prove we were strong and what we had was worth protecting. I was wrong.

We’d had a fight, but were getting better. Things improving, and moving back to where they were. I called him with good news, only to get bad news.

We were over.

Heartbroken, I gave his ring back and moved out.

It’s time to move on now, but my heart doesn’t want to.
